VITAL STATISTICS: The Centre Parcs concept - a posh holiday village where nature, including a lake, takes centre stage - might have started in the Netherlands, but the British middle classes have taken the camps to their heart. All guests are housed in lodges, ranging in price and glamour, but all of them are set along woodland paths. All have fully-equipped kitchens and the most expensive have four bedrooms, a sauna and outdoor hot tub.
