A holidaymaker has recounted a harrowing experience at Center Parcs where he broke his leg on a water slide and feared he might drown. David Cannon, 64, was about to enjoy the Canyon Ride at the Subtropical Swimming Paradise in Whinfell Forest, Cumbria, when disaster struck.
As he positioned himself to start the descent, he heard a 'crack' and felt intense pain. Trapped by the flowing water and unable to move, David had no choice but to endure the ride with his leg 'flopping' painfully along.
