De Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs Groep heeft Pascal Ferracci benoemd tot CEO en bestuursvoorzitter van Center Parcs Europe. Hij zal rechtstreeks rapporteren aan Martine Balouka-Vallette, CEO Toerisme van de Groep.

Pascal Ferracci (49) heeft een Master Degree in Accounting & Finance (Audienca Business School). Hij begon zijn loopbaan in 1991 bij PriceWaterhouseCoopers. In 1996 trad Ferracci toe tot de financiële directie van Coface, een toonaangevende speler in de internationale markt voor kredietverzekeringen. Hier was hij verantwoordelijk voor de beursgang van het bedrijf en gaf hij invulling aan de internationale ambities van Coface.

In 2000 trad Ferracci aan als Vice-CFO van de Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs Groep. Tussen 2007 en 2010 verlegde hij zijn werkterrein naar Nederland, waar hij verantwoordelijk was voor het financiële beleid en de IT-strategie van Center Parcs Europe. Van 2010 tot 2016 vervulde Ferracci de functie van directeur Financiën, Operations en Diensten van de Groep. Sinds januari 2017 is Ferracci werkzaam als plaatsvervangend CEO van Center Parcs Europe.

"Ik beschouw het als een enorme uitdaging om als CEO van Center Parcs Europe leiding te geven aan de groeiambities van de Groep. Dit zal ik doen met de ambitie om de leidende positie van Center Parcs Europe in de Europese markt voor korte vakanties te behouden", aldus Pascal Ferracci. "Dit betekent dat wij voortdurend inspelen op nieuwe ontwikkelingen en de veranderende behoeften van onze gasten, zoals we hebben gedaan door het introduceren van flexibele aankomst- en vertrektijden en de lancering van onze Planet Center Parcs-app. Hiermee kunnen onze gasten activiteiten en services reserveren om een verblijf in onze parken nog aangenamer te maken."

Park Allgau (Her) opent de deuren / poorten voor gasten

Vandaag, zo melden verschillende Duitse Media, zullen er weer gasten welkom zijn op het nieuwste park van Center Parcs: Park Allgau.

Het park ging al aan het begin van deze maand open, maar moest door problemen tijdelijk weer gesloten worden. 

Ondertussen is het meerendeel van de cottages beschikbaar voor de gasten, meldt Sabine Huber

What’s it all about: Halloween is not the same without this traditional Halloween activity. Put your creative skills to the test and see who in your family can carve the most frightening faces. Make some family memories and take home your own pumpkin lantern souvenir to put on your doorstep.

How to spend your extra hour at Center Parcs

At Center Parcs, sixty minutes is enough time to make memories that will last a lifetime. From unique activities to eating mouth-watering food at our restaurants, it’s your hour – make the most of it.

Winter Wonderland is on its way

It’s just two weeks until Winter Wonderland sweeps across all our villages and takes you to a place of magic and memories with your family. Starting on Friday 9 November (because, why not? It’s nearly Christmas, so let’s celebrate early!) – here’s a sneak peek into what makes Winter Wonderland so special…

Family adventures

All year round, Center Parcs is home to thrilling, adventurous and creative activities. But we have a renewed selection of festive activities just for Winter Wonderland. The choice is all yours, do a lot or a little but there’s an activity for everyone this Winter Wonderland.

Treat yourself – it’s Christmas

Winter Wonderland is coming, and what comes with winter? Food, glorious food! Whether it’s a festive carvery for your family to tuck into or a sweet treat, we have something for everyone, even the fussiest of eaters. It’s time for the red cups at Starbucks so drink up the festive choices from Gingerbread Latte to a Fudge Hot Chocolate. Prefer home cooking? Head to ParcMarket to purchase all the trimmings and dine in your lodge.

White Christmas

We ignore the Met Office and always forecast snow, guaranteeing you that white Christmas you’ve always been promised. Every village is transformed with a crisp white, blanket of glimmering snow –  that’s when you know it’s definitely Winter Wonderland.

Start the festivities with a bang

At all our villages, Winter Wonderland is joined by a spectacular fireworks or pyrotechnic display. Twice a week on the run-up to the big day, be sure to head to the best viewing points and watch the incredible display light up the sky.

The atmosphere

The hub of Winter Wonderland has to be Santa’s Woodland Village, and whether you’ve booked a visit with the big man himself or just want to get into the Christmas spirit, it’s the perfect place. Pop into the Christmas Shop to purchase a decoration for your tree or post your letter to Santa, just be sure to visit Santa’s Woodland Village for everything festive.

Nutmeg has a little sister

The star of Winter Wonderland – Nutmeg the reindeer – is back for 2018 – with a new sister, Clove. As well as our enchanting hardback children’s book that tells the story of their adventures, you can also take them home in the form of a special edition soft toy, a Christmas bauble, or even a piece of personalised pottery that you can hand-paint in the studio. Of course, don’t forget to visit the magical Nutmeg sculpture, which you can bring to life via a tap of your smartphone to take a selfie with the little reindeer.

Recipe: Halloween Cupcakes

After an amazing summer, it looks like autumn might finally be on the way. The evenings are getting a little darker, Halloween is approaching and with children around, there often seems to be some sort of spooky event to cater for.

These decorated cupcakes are a fun little project that children – of all ages – can easily master. If you are short on time or baking skills you can decorate ready-made cakes and use ready to roll icing. Having a Halloween party at home? You can keep your guests amused by giving them some icing and a cake and getting them to decorate their own.

The cake recipe is a standby for all your fairy cake needs, you can add anything to the mix, have them as an after school (or work) snack with an added handful of sultanas and glacé cherries.

Ingredients 

Plain Vanilla Cakes

125g Soft Butter
125g Caster Sugar
125g SR Flour
2 Large Eggs
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Tbsp Milk

Plain Chocolate Cakes

125g Soft Butter
125g Caster Sugar
100g SR Flour
25g Cocoa
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
2 Large Eggs
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Tbsp Milk

Ready-made (or homemade) buttercream for topping, or you can use Nutella.

1 Beat the butter until soft and light
2 Beat in the caster sugar and vanilla until pale
3 Add the eggs and flour (plus cocoa and baking powder for chocolate version) and mix well
4 Add the milk and mix to a soft spoonable consistency
5 Spoon into 9 muffin cases in a muffin tin
6 Bake for 20 minutes at 175ºC turning the tin around after 15 minutes
7 Cool on a rack
8 Spread each cooled cake with a spoonful of buttercream/frosting

If you prefer to make smaller fairy cakes this mix will make 12, just use fairy cake cases and reduce the cooking time to 18 minutes

Spiders

Black and white ready-to-roll fondant icing
Liquorice Catherine Wheels

1 Roll out some black icing and cut out a circle with a cookie cutter slightly bigger than your cake
2 Smooth the circle over the frosted cake
3 Unravel the liquorice and cut into 3cm pieces
4 Make leg holes in the sides of the icing and push the liquorice legs in
5 Make eyes with small balls of black and white icing and fix on with a little water
6 Use the end of a brush or a skewer to make a mouth and add white fangs if you fancy

Pumpkin Patch

Green and Orange ready-to-roll fondant icing
Brown icing or some flakes of chocolate

1 Roll out some green icing and cut out a circle with a cookie cutter slightly bigger than your cake
2 Smooth the circle over the frosted cake
3 Roll a ball of orange icing and mark it with a skewer to make pumpkin segments
4 Press a hole in the top and add an icing or chocolate stalk
5 Twist rolls of green to make tendrils and stick these and the pumpkin to the cake with a little water

Jack Skellington

Black and white ready-to-roll fondant icing
Black food colouring or a tube of black decorating icing

1 Roll out some white icing and cut out a circle with a cookie cutter slightly bigger than your cake
2 Smooth the circle over the frosted cake
3 Make eyes with squashed balls of black icing
4 Poke nose holes with the end of a brush
5 Press on a wide mouth with the end of a brush or skewer and add a few ‘stitches’
6 Brush or squeeze some black icing or food colouring into the nostrils, mouth and stitches

Eyeballs

Black, green and white ready-to-roll fondant icing
Red and green food colouring

1 Roll out some white icing and cut out a circle with a cookie cutter slightly bigger than your cake
2 Smooth the circle over the frosted cake
3 Cut a circle of green for the iris, and a smaller black circle for the pupil
4 Stick these ones with a drop of water and add a small white dot of icing for a highlight
5 With a thin brush add a little colour to the iris and some extra bloodshot wiggles around the eyeball

Musicalweekend op Center Parcs Erperheide december 2018

Na twee succesvolle musicalweken afgelopen zomer, slaan Center Parcs Erperheide (in Peer) en Musical On Stage vzw opnieuw de handen in elkaar om een fantastische musicalervaring te garanderen tijdens het musicalweekend. Onder professionele begeleiding van musicaldocenten uit het vak, kan iedereen tussen de 7 en 15 jaar oud meedoen aan een tweedaagse vol dans, zang, drama en plezier. En natuurlijk laten ze zondagavond ook zien wat ze kunnen in een spetterende show in het showtheater van Center Parcs: de BALUBA!

Musical On Stage vzw werkt tijdens het weekend van 8 december met de deelnemers samen aan hun artistieke en persoonlijke ontwikkeling. Naast de professionele musicallessen, voorziet Center Parcs een gezonde lunch en middagbreak en op zondag een diner om kracht op te doen voor ze een daverende eindvoorstelling spelen. Om het hele gezin te laten meegenieten van een heerlijk ontspannen en leuk weekendje weg, biedt Center Parcs tevens speciale overnachtingsarrangementen aan voor de gezinnen van de kleine sterren.

The perfect October half term break

Its that time of the year again where the forest is transformed from green to golden and your wellies and woolly hats make an appearance. With plenty of activities to do at Center Parcs, you won’t struggle to keep your little ones entertained. Here is what you could get up to this October half-term to have a memorable break away in the forest.

French inspired breakfast

Start your day off the right way and head to Café Rouge across all five villages for breakfast the whole family can enjoy. The little ones can enjoy one of the mini cooked breakfasts – the ‘Petite English’ or ‘Petite Veggie’, perfectly portioned for smaller appetites. While the adults can choose from a tasty selection of cooked breakfasts like the classic Rouge Breakfast with free-range eggs, Cumberland sausage, cured bacon, beans, mushroom, tomato and sourdough toast. Perfect fuel for a fun-filled day of activities.

Make a splash

At the centre of every village visit our Subtropical Swimming Paradise and warm up this October half-term in our 29.5C incredible indoor water park. Whatever the weather is up to outside, you can enjoy a slice of summer inside. With child-friendly pools and adventurous slides, from the Wild Water Rapids to our wave pool, your children will be entertained for hours. While you can enjoy some relaxation time in the whirlpool.

Indoor Climbing Adventure

Do you and your little ones have a head for heights? Escape the cold and challenge yourselves as a family to try something new together. For your children who are a minimum of 4 years and a height of 1.1 meters, they can climb their way to the top of our colourful indoor climbing adventure walls. Watch them face their fears and have an adrenaline rush they will never forget.

Dine In

After a long day of family activities sometimes you don’t fancy cooking, but don’t want to dress up and go out either. Don’t worry we have the perfect option! Pop over to our Dining In store across all five villages and our expert chefs can cook you a mouth-watering takeaway from a range of international cuisines, or even make a delivery to your lodge for a small charge. It is the perfect hassle-free way to unwind after a busy day.

For an evening activity fun for the whole family, head down to our Ten Pin Bowling lanes and get your competitive streak out. For your little ones we have bumper and ramps, they can use to perfect their bowling techniques. Is it actually a Disney hotel?

As we've said before, the resort now holds official Disney hotel status. Packages booked through Disney each include two-day park hopper tickets, and resort guests do benefit from extra magic hours.

But then it gets interesting. Because even compared to Davy Crockett, LVN is next-level Disney accommodation. The concept here is about getting back to nature and enjoying an immersive getaway for all the family. Nevertheless, this resort is so jam-packed with recreation that anyone who prefers their Disney hotel to be "just a base" should probably look away now.

So what's on offer?

The resort promises 'harmony with nature', right down to offering workshops on how to build shelters from branches and leaves. Bikes, Segways, mini Jeeps as well as actual ponies are available to get you around admiring the scenery*. There's a bowling alley, escape room, petting zoo, aerial obstacle course, waterslides, spa*…the list goes on. Their goal of introducing guests to new experiences even includes the opportunity to take classes in-resort. Resort Center Parcs Terhills wordt duurzaamste vakantiepark in Europa

Duurzaamheid zit in het DNA van Center Parcs en speelt een belangrijke rol in alles wat ze doen. Dat betekent onder meer dat Center Parcs heel zorgvuldig omgaat met alle flora en fauna in de vakantieparken. Het is de missie om de natuurlijke rijkdom in de parken te koesteren en goed te doen voor mens en natuur. Het nieuwe park Resort Center Parcs Terhills zal bij de opening in 2020 volledig energie onafhankelijk zijn en is hiermee het duurzaamste vakantie park in Europa!

Energie onafhankelijk, nul CO uitstoot.

Twee grote velden met zonnepanelen én een batterijenpark van Tesla, Aan de KMO-zone van Terhills, voorzien de volledige energie aanvoer.  Aan het eind van dit jaar zal Resort Center Parcs Terhills twee velden met zonnepanelen installeren. Die stroom wordt dan ook opgeslagen bij de batterijen.  Het park wordt zo energie onafhankelijk, nul CO uitstoot, uniek voor vakantieparken in Europa. Ook alle voertuigen op het park, tot zelfs de motorbootjes op het water zullen elektrisch zijn. Ook belangrijk is dat het hele park op gelijkstroom zal draaien, Zo krijg je veel minder verliesstroom.

Heropening Park Allgau uitgesteld naar 29 oktober

Verschillende Duitse media melden dat de heropening van Allgäu, aanvankelijk gepland op maandag (22 oktober), minstens nog een week is uitgesteld. 

De nieuwe richtdatum voor heropening is 29 oktober, maar deze datum staat nog niet 100% vast. Komende week zal daar uitsluitsel over gegeven worden.

Take a look inside the new Rajinda Pradesh menu

We have been counting down the days to our new Rajinda Pradesh menu landing in our restaurants across all five UK villages and will be introduced to our newest village in Ireland in 2019.

The home of Indian food at Center Parcs, Rajinda Pradesh has seen the move away from a completely Indian influenced menu to now include a more diverse fusion of Asian flavours. With dishes from Malaysia, Indonesia, Southern India and Thailand we have something the whole family will enjoy.

Feast your eyes on our Malaysian Beef Rendang featuring four hours slow braised beef, lightly shredded with a coconut, lemongrass and chilli sauce served with aromatic rice. Or try our delicious Thai Green Curry, a family favourite, made with a choice of chicken or prawn. Infused with chillies, shallots, garlic, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce and coconut to create a nice spicy sauce ensured to fill you up for your evening in the forest.

But don’t worry, both our new and old dishes continue to use traditional cooking methods and flavours, balancing the authentic flavours with a modern approach to the presentation of our dishes. With our Baked Chicken Mehra it is certain to get your taste buds tingling with oven baked chicken thighs in a fiery tomato sauce.

When developing the new dishes, we took importance in considering our guests with allergy and dietary requirements, to provide them with mouth-watering options to suit their needs. For our plant-based guests, try our Vegan Asian mixed platter, starring a variety of Asian starters, from steamed vegetable gyoza to crispy vegetable spring rolls.

For a hassle-free dinner time enjoy The Rajinda Experience Banquet. Tuck into a poppadum platter to share, followed by a starter platter with some of your favourites, including crispy onion bhajis. Sunparks De Haan wordt omgevormd tot Center Parcs

Verschillende investeerders hebben vakantiepark Sunparks De Haan overgenomen. Ze zullen het vakantiepark nabij de zee renoveren en opwaarderen tot een Center Parcs village.

De verkoper is de Franse vakantiegroep Pierre et Vacances, de uitbater van de verschillende Sunparks en Center Parks domeinen. Het bedrijf zal het park blijven uitbaten. "Het leisurecomplex maakt het voorwerp uit van een grondige renovatie en wordt in gebruik genomen voor een vaste initiële periode van 15 jaar door Sunparks Leisure NV (onderdeel van de vakantiegroep Pierre &Vacances)", klinkt het in het persbericht. Na renovatie moet het een viersterrenpark worden.

De transactiewaarde bedraagt circa 75 miljoen euro na renovatie, melden Home Invest Belgium, Belfius Insurance en de infrastructuurinvesteerders TINC en DG Infra Yield. Dat waardeert het domein dus grosso modo op 146 miljoen euro.

Vakantiegangers brengen herfstvakantie liefst door in eigen land

Met de herfstvakantie in het vooruitzicht boeken veel Nederlanders een welverdiende vakantie, het liefst in eigen land. Zo geeft 62 procent van de Nederlandse Center Parcs-gasten de voorkeur om met het gezin naar een vakantiepark in Nederland te gaan, gevolgd door een vergelijkbare vakantie in België (22 procent) en Duitsland (10 procent).

Nederland is ook populair onder Belgen (41 procent) en Duitsers (32 procent). Daarentegen kiest ruim driekwart van de Fransen voor een vakantie in eigen land. Als zij al naar een bestemming in het buitenland gaan, kiest 18 procent voor België en slechts 4 procent voor Nederland. Dit blijkt uit gegevens van Center Parcs, waarin zij niet alleen de voorkeur voor een vakantiebestemming, maar ook culturele verschillen in kaart brengt.

De Fransen brengen de herfstvakantie het vaakst met hun familie of vrienden door: 43 procent boekt zes bedden of meer, in vergelijking met 33 procent van de Duitsers. Ruim 63 procent van de Nederlanders gaat met de kinderen naar Center Parcs op vakantie, maar Fransen komen nóg vaker met kinderen (77 procent). "Een vakantie bij Center Parcs brengt kinderen, ouders en grootouders bij elkaar. Center Parcs biedt al jaren voor drie generaties de mogelijkheid om gezellig vakantie met elkaar te vieren", zegt Mark Giethoorn, Directeur Operations van Center Parcs Nederland. "Al onze activiteiten en accommodaties zijn erop gericht om mensen van alle leeftijden samen te brengen. Zo blijkt uit eerder onderzoek dat ruim een kwart van de Nederlanders zegt dat hun kinderen liever met opa en oma op vakantie gaan dan dat zij een nieuwe spelcomputer cadeau krijgen. Ook geeft ruim twee derde aan dat meer tijd met elkaar doorbrengen de belangrijkste reden is om met drie generaties op vakantie te gaan."

Limburgse Peel viert opening na grote vernieuwing

Capelle aan den IJssel, 12 oktober 2018 – Center Parcs Limburgse Peel in het Limburgse America heropende vandaag, na een volledige vernieuwing, officieel haar deuren. Alle 500 cottages zijn inmiddels voorzien van een fris en eigentijds interieur. Het park werd vandaag door wethouder Eric Beurskens en General Manager Kees Luijbregts heropend.

De centrale faciliteiten, zoals de Market Dome en het Aqua Mundo, zijn gerestyled. De centraal gelegen Market Dome heeft voortaan een nieuw uiterlijk met een mooie bamboekoepel, meer flora en fauna en sfeervolle decoraties. Het vormt het hart van het vakantiepark waar gasten in een aangename omgeving samen kunnen komen in één van de vernieuwde restaurants of kunnen shoppen bij de Daily Foodstore, de Fashion Store en de Toys & Souvenirs. Je vindt hier ook de vernieuwde bowling. Daarnaast heeft de snackbar een trendy look gekregen en is omgedoopt tot Frites Affairs.

Insektenhotel.

Center Parcs Omzet gestegen (from tourism businesses up 4.1% over 2017/2018)

Omzet

Tourism revenue for the 2017/2018 financial year totalled €1356.5 million, showing growth of 4.1% relative to the year-earlier period.

Growth in accommodation revenue was driven by all destinations, standing at 2.6% excluding supply effects: +7.1% for the Adagio residences, which had an excellent performance over the year, +2.2% for the seaside destinations, +1.0% for the mountain resorts and +1.6% for the Center Parcs domains, with growth in all destinations.

Supplementary income rose by 3.7%, driven primarily by the rise in the volume of business generated by marketing activities.

Focus on Q4 2017/2018:

Revenue from the tourism businesses totalled €476.6 million in Q4 2017/2018, up 1.6% relative to Q4 in the previous year.

Accommodation revenue stood at €302.5 million, up 1.7% adjusted for supply effects.

Growth was driven by healthy performances from the Adagio residences that were up 7.9% over Q4.

For the other brands, revenue rose 0.7%, despite disadvantageous events over the first two weeks of July (World Cup football tournament and transport strikes), the heat wave and competition from destinations in the Mediterranean Basin. This had the main effect of causing pressure on average letting rates (for Spain especially).

• Pierre & Vacances Tourisme Europe was up 0.5% excluding Adagio. Revenue from the seaside resorts (metropolitan France, French West Indies and Spain) was stable over the summer, whereas the mountain resorts rose by 4.2%.
  
• Center Parcs Europe was up 0.8% excluding supply effects, driven by the domains located in The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
  
• Revenue from property development
  

2017/2018 revenue totalled €166.5 million, with the main contributions stemming from Les Senioriales (€85 million), Villages Nature (€12 million) and Pierre & Vacances residences in France (including Deauville and Méribel for €30 million) and Spain (€10 million).

Property reservations with individual investors for the year represent revenue of €344.2 million, ahead of the level noted in the year-earlier period (€311.5 million).

2017/18 earnings outlook

Given the shift to 2018/19 of the significant contribution from signings of block sales for renovation programmes at Center Parcs domains in Belgium and the Netherlands, the Group is expecting lower current operating income in 2017/2018 than in 2016/2017.

Tourism businesses in Q1 2018/2019

In view of the portfolio of reservations to date, the Group expects growth in the tourism businesses in Q1 2018/2019, at both Pierre & Vacances Tourisme Europe and Center Parcs Europe.

Duurzaamheid steeds belangrijker bij keuze vakantiebestemming

Voor bijna driekwart van de Nederlandse gasten van Center Parcs geldt dat duurzaamheid een grote rol speelt bij hun keuze voor een vakantiebestemming. Dat is een sterke stijging in vergelijking met tien jaar geleden. Toen koos 40 procent voor een vakantiebestemming waar duurzame voorzieningen aanwezig waren. Dat blijkt uit onderzoek van  Center Parcs dat zij naar aanleiding van de Dag van de Duurzaamheid heeft gedaan. Hoewel steeds meer Nederlandse vakantiegangers duurzaamheid belangrijk vinden, laten toeristen uit onze buurlanden dit zwaarder meewegen in hun keuze voor een vakantiebestemming.

"Duurzaamheid zit in het DNA van  Center Parcs en speelt een belangrijke rol in alles wat we doen. Dat betekent onder meer dat we heel zorgvuldig omgaan met alle flora en fauna in onze vakantieparken. Het is onze missie om de natuurlijke rijkdom in onze parken te koesteren en goed te doen voor de mensen om ons heen. Het streven is dat in 2021 diverse parken CO2 neutraal zijn en ook worden op dit moment energieneutrale cottages ontwikkeld op twee van onze parken", vertelt Erwin Dezeure, Director Corporate Social Responsibility van Center Parcs Europe.

Center Parcs streeft ernaar dat 60 procent van alle energie die in haar vakantieparken wordt gebruikt tegen 2021 duurzaam is. Zo zijn de cottages van Center Parcs voorzien van allerlei 'groene' faciliteiten, zoals energiezuinige apparatuur, slimme thermostaten die ervoor zorgen dat de cottage niet onnodig warmte vraagt als er geen gast aanwezig is en waterbesparende douchekoppen, kranen en toiletten. Ook zijn in alle parken voorzieningen aanwezig om afval te scheiden en krijgt gebruikt meubilair een nieuwe bestemming bij goede doelen. Bijzonder is dat de lampenkappen in de cottages zijn vervaardigd van gerecycled plastic en verbruikte houten materialen worden gebruikt als verwarmingsbron. Ook zet Center Parcs de laatste technologie in om de milieu-impact tot een minimum te beperken. Zo heeft het zwemparadijs Aqua Mundo maar liefst 90 procent minder chloor nodig dan reguliere zwembaden, doordat biologische filters en UV-technologie worden ingezet. De zwembaden worden 's nachts afgedekt om energieverlies te voorkomen. Verder wordt 's nachts het water van de wildwaterbanen en buitenbaden opgeslagen in tanks om ervoor te zorgen dat er geen warmte verloren gaat. Ook wil Center Parcs een bijdrage leveren aan een groter bewustzijn van het belang van duurzaamheid. Zo organiseert zij in samenwerking met Wereld Natuur Fonds elk jaar de Kids Climate Conference, waarbij kinderen meedenken over de toekomst van de planeet.

Pierre Masseran is sinds 1 september 2018 benoemd tot algemeen directeur van het Center Parcs Domaine du Bois aux Daims. Zijn belangrijkste missie is om de ontwikkeling van het Domaine voort te zetten door te vertrouwen op de teams, de inzet van nieuwe diensten voor klanten en de versterking van links met lokale actoren in het departement en de regio.

Hij vervangt Bruno Guth, benoemd tot Villages-directeur Nature® Tourisme.

Park Allgau mogelijk 22 oktober weer open

Verschillende duitse bladen melden dat Park Allgau, dat een week na opening weer werd gesloten.

In sommige gevallen blijkt op dit moment nog steeds problemen voor te komen met met het glasvezelnetwerk en de warm water voorziening in de huisjes.

Sabine Huber (Pervoorlichter) zei ook: "Onze lokale teams werken samen met dienstverleners hard om deze problemen zo snel mogelijk op te lossen en vanwege de huidige situatie hebben we besloten de aankomst van nieuwe gasten uit te stellen tot 22 oktober.

Maandag 24 september werd de 13e editie van de Trophies of Safety gehouden met meer dan 700 professionals. Aan het einde van deze avond, waarin de belangrijkste innovaties van de sector werden belicht, kreeg Center Parcs twee prijzen voor zijn partnerschap met de nationale gendarmerie voor meer dan een jaar: "Gouden medaille Beste Management / Veiligheidsteam "en de" Publieksprijs ".

In april 2017 werd een nationale conventie ondertekend tussen Center Parcs France en het directoraat-generaal van de nationale gendarmerie (DGGN).

Opening Park Allgau niet vlekkeloos

Het lijkt er op dat de opening van Park Allgau niet helemaal vlekkeloos verloopt. In de media en op facebook zijn er berichten van teleurgestelde gasten die geconfronteerd worden met cottages die nog niet klaar zijn en die dan mogelijk ook richting huis terugkeren.

Om hoeveel gevallen het gaat is nog niet helemaal duidelijk.

Longleat Forest wildlife highlights over the past 24 years

Our Senior Conservation Ranger James Monk has gone back to when Longleat Forest first opened in 1994 and has gathered lots of information about the wildlife that’s lived there. Over the last 24 years, our beautiful forest has evolved and been home to several different animals.

1994

• A grand total of 604 species were identified when Longleat Forest However, in 1995 when the very first annual ecological report was completed the total number increased to 984 species

1996

• The Firecrest bird, one of the smallest birds in the UK and part of the Kinglet family was recorded for the first time with two pairs of breeding. This was a nationally significant population in the UK as the breeding population was around 20-30 pairs

2002

• Center Parcs was one of the first companies in the UK to achieve the Wildlife Trust’s Biodiversity Benchmark accreditation. This recognised our commitment to protecting the forest and wildlife in the best and most environmentally friendly way

2009

• Longleat Forest won the Wildlife Trust’s Corporate Green Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Environment and in the next following years for Sustainable Progress and Working for Wildlife

 

 

2015

• The first dormouse was found at Nockatt Coppice nature reserve after dormouse tubes were placed in the reserve the year before

2018

• A rare bee orchid flower was sighted near the Wildflower Meadow
• We have the largest breeding population of siskin in Wiltshire
• There are 75 varied species of trees in Longleat Forest

Longleat Forest in the future will continue to have a growing number of species with the help of the Conservation Rangers and Ground Services team who continue to protect the forest and wildlife.

Center Parcs opent zijn Allgäu-park in de buurt van Leutkirch

Start voor de Center Parcs Allgäu in Leutkirch: een van de grootste toeristische projecten in Duitsland werd op maandag geopend. Maar het park is nog niet helemaal klaar.

Het is het grootste toeristisch project van de afgelopen decennia in de Allgäu: de Franse groep Pierre et Vacances heeft in het gebied van de stad Leutkirch en de Oberallgäuer gemeenschap Altusried het Center Parcs Allgäu met 1000 cottages geopend.

New Center Parcs research has revealed that, although 90% of people said they like spending time with their families, more than a third of us (38%) say it’s just too difficult to regularly meet up. Park Allgau - Open voor de eerste gasten
