Geen nieuwe gasten

"Tegelijkertijd hebben we besloten om pas later in oktober nieuwe gasten te verwelkomen. We zullen contact opnemen met alle betrokken vakantiegangers en ernaar streven om voor elk individu een geschikte individuele oplossing te vinden, "vervolgt Huber.

Volgens berichten van Center Parcs op de Facebook pagina, zullen er weer Gasten kunnen komen op 12 oktober.

"Derzeit schließen wir die Bauarbeiten für unsere Aktivitäten ab, um weitere Angebote für unsere Gäste vor dem 12. Oktober zu eröffnen"

Opening Park Allgau niet vlekkeloos

Het lijkt er op dat de opening van Park Allgau niet helemaal vlekkeloos verloopt. In de media en op facebook zijn er berichten van teleurgestelde gasten die geconfronteerd worden met cottages die nog niet klaar zijn en die dan mogelijk ook richting huis terugkeren.

Om hoeveel gevallen het gaat is nog niet helemaal duidelijk.

Longleat Forest wildlife highlights over the past 24 years

Our Senior Conservation Ranger James Monk has gone back to when Longleat Forest first opened in 1994 and has gathered lots of information about the wildlife that’s lived there. Over the last 24 years, our beautiful forest has evolved and been home to several different animals.

1994

• A grand total of 604 species were identified when Longleat Forest However, in 1995 when the very first annual ecological report was completed the total number increased to 984 species

1996

• The Firecrest bird, one of the smallest birds in the UK and part of the Kinglet family was recorded for the first time with two pairs of breeding. This was a nationally significant population in the UK as the breeding population was around 20-30 pairs

2002

• Center Parcs was one of the first companies in the UK to achieve the Wildlife Trust’s Biodiversity Benchmark accreditation. This recognised our commitment to protecting the forest and wildlife in the best and most environmentally friendly way

2009

• Longleat Forest won the Wildlife Trust’s Corporate Green Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Environment and in the next following years for Sustainable Progress and Working for Wildlife

 

 

2015

• The first dormouse was found at Nockatt Coppice nature reserve after dormouse tubes were placed in the reserve the year before

2018

• A rare bee orchid flower was sighted near the Wildflower Meadow
• We have the largest breeding population of siskin in Wiltshire
• There are 75 varied species of trees in Longleat Forest

Longleat Forest in the future will continue to have a growing number of species with the help of the Conservation Rangers and Ground Services team who continue to protect the forest and wildlife.

Center Parcs opent zijn Allgäu-park in de buurt van Leutkirch

Start voor de Center Parcs Allgäu in Leutkirch: een van de grootste toeristische projecten in Duitsland werd op maandag geopend. Maar het park is nog niet helemaal klaar.

Het is het grootste toeristisch project van de afgelopen decennia in de Allgäu: de Franse groep Pierre et Vacances heeft in het gebied van de stad Leutkirch en de Oberallgäuer gemeenschap Altusried het Center Parcs Allgäu met 1000 cottages geopend.

Christmas and New Year at Center Parcs

New Center Parcs research has revealed that, although 90% of people said they like spending time with their families, more than a third of us (38%) say it’s just too difficult to regularly meet up. Whether it’s Christmas or New Year, Center Parcs makes spending time with the ones you love stress-free so you can enjoy every moment together.

Can Christmas be hassle-free? 

Of those surveyed, 41% said they didn’t want to host Christmas due to the lack of space in their home and the stress and effort involved. So plan ahead, that’s fine! You can book a Center Parcs break up until April 2020 and with our new website you can invite your guests to the booking so they can book their own activities and restaurants, as well as view the break itinerary.

With five villages across the UK, we’re sure there’s one village you can meet family half way at, so you don’t have to make such a long journey in all the traffic and after all the glasses of fizz you’ll have consumed.

Park Allgau - Open voor de eerste gasten

Vandaag is het dan zover dat de eerste gasten aankomen op het nieuwe park "Park Allgau" in Zuid Duitsland

Kloppend Hart - Center Parcs

Een gek gezicht was het wel: tussen de etende gasten op badslippers, mensen met nat haar en een handdoek om hun lijf gewikkeld, praatte ik in het Grand Café van Center Parcs in Peer met Vlaming Wouter Lecok, vergezeld door pr officer Jackie van Buuren. Wij zakelijk gekleed, de gasten genietend van een welverdiende vakantie. Dat is echter precies de bedoeling achter de locatie van het contactcenter van Center Parcs, vertelt Lecok. 'Het is belangrijk dat iedereen met een smile op zijn of haar gezicht naar het werk gaat. Dat is het prachtige van dit contactcenter: lopend naar kantoor kom je genietende mensen en spelende kinderen tegen.

Vakantiegevoel

Het contactcenter van Center Parcs ligt op één van de vakantieparken, prachtig gelegen tussen de bossen in Peer bij onze zuiderburen. In een groene omgeving grenst het pand aan een meer met een fontein. Het is daarom wellicht niet zo verwonderlijk dat veel medewerkers op de afdeling met een glimlach op hun gezicht aan het werk zijn. 'Je begeeft je in een omgeving waar mensen vakantie hebben. Dat heeft een heel rustgevende uitwerking op je', aldus Lecok. Het bedrijf hecht erg veel waarde aan medewerkers, vertelt hij, want: 'Zonder medewerkers geen bedrijf'. Dat een vakantiepark gastgericht is, is wellicht logisch, maar volgens Wouter ('ik ben niet 'meneer' ') staan ook de medewerkers centraal. Glimlachend merkt Lecok daarom op dat de collega's zélf nog het beste kunnen vertellen hoe de sfeer is op de werkvloer. 'Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat ze die goed vinden. We zijn met medewerkers bezig – met mensen. Niet met computers, met eentjes of nulletjes. Als iemand zich niet goed voelt, willen we eerst luisteren en kijken wat we daaraan kunnen doen. Voel jij je niet goed, dan kun je geen gasten te woord staan.' Het bedrijf zet gasten op de eerste plek, rap gevolgd door de medewerkers.

Werving & selectie

Nadat een vacature in de krant of op online platformen wordt geplaatst, is het aan de teamleiders. De circa acht kandidaten die op gesprek worden uitgenodigd, krijgen een presentatie van een uur te zien waarin de visie van het bedrijf wordt uitgelegd en wat Center Parcs aan de medewerkers biedt. Er volgt een persoonlijk gesprek met twee teamleiders, waaronder een rollenspel. Lecok (zie foto hieronder) kan zich voorstellen dat sollicitanten hier zenuwachtig voor zijn. 'Maar we hebben elke dag te maken met gasten; we zijn heel humaan. We stellen ze altijd gerust.' Daarna begint de trainingsperiode van twee weken. 'Daar brengt Carine, inmiddels hier 35 jaar werkzaam, ze alles bij. Dat trainen is erg belangrijk: juist omdat we een heel divers product aanbieden. Het is wel het eerste contactpunt met de gasten. Na de training kunnen ze de vloer op.'

Brand verwoest chalet Center Parcs Eemhof: twee konijnen dood

Een chalet op bungalowpark De Eemhof van Center Parcs bij Zeewolde is vanmiddag in vlammen opgegaan. 

Aanvankelijk was er in de melding sprake van een persoon in het pand en daarvoor werd een traumahelikopter opgeroepen, maar uiteindelijk bleek dat niet nodig. De bewoners van het chalet waren op het moment van de brand niet in de woning aanwezig. Wel kwamen twee konijnen om het leven in de vuurzee.

Sauna

De eerste melding van de brand kwam om 12.18 uur.  Om even na twee uur was het vuur onder controle. De bungalow brandde geheel uit. Volgens een woordvoerder van de Veiligheidsregio is de brand vermoedelijk ontstaan in de buurt van de sauna in de woning.

Healthy eating awards for five restaurants at Center Parcs in East Anglia

Popular holiday resort Center Parcs Elveden Forest restaurants have been awarded gold and silver standards in healthy eating awards.

Five of the company's restaurants were rated under Suffolk's 2018 Eat Out, Eat Well Awards, which recognise the work of food businesses encouraging their customers to make healthier choices.

Contemporary Indian restaurant Rajinda Pradesh won a gold award, along with Huck's American Bar and Grill and Aqua Sana Spa's Vitalé Café Bar.

Silver awards went to the Sports Cafe and Dining In, which is the holiday resort's own takeaway and delivery service.

Steve Chadwick, food, beverage and retail manager at Center Parcs Elveden Forest, said: "We're delighted that our restaurants have been recognised as gold and silver standard in the Eat Out, Eat Well Awards.

"At Center Parcs, we pride ourselves on the quality and variety of our menus. This includes healthier options, children's menus and choices for guests with dietary requirements, so that no guests need compromise on their family dining experience."
