Le Lac d'Ailette opent na vijf maanden vernieuwen opnieuw haar deuren. Naast de vernieuwde accommodaties zijn nu ook de centrale faciliteiten in een nieuw jasje gestoken. Daarnaast is er een gloednieuw digitaal concept geïntegreerd om je verblijf nóg aangenamer te maken. Het moderne Le Lac d'Ailette verwelkomt je vanaf februari voor een onvergetelijke vakantie!

In een nieuw jasje

Om de kwaliteit en het comfort van je verblijf te verbeteren, hebben we verschillende ruimtes en faciliteiten gemoderniseerd. Zo kun je terecht bij de McDonalds om van een heerlijke burger te smikkelen. Voor extra variatie is er in buffetrestaurant Le Marché in de Market Dome een nieuw concept ontwikkeld.

De toegang tot de Aqua Mundo is ook volledig vernieuwd, eenvoudiger gemaakt én aangenamer. Met grote interactieve schermen die een leuke ervaring bieden voordat je nóg meer pret beleeft in het subtropisch zwemparadijs!

Van alle (digitale) gemakken voorzien

Om je verblijf nog gemakkelijker en toegankelijker te maken hebben we tijdens de vernieuwingen veel gewerkt aan het digitaliseren van het park. Zo kun je bij de vernieuwde receptie met interactieve touchscreen-terminals gemakkelijk inchecken en activiteiten op het park boeken. Daarnaast kun je gebruikmaken van digitale armbanden waarmee je het slot van de cottage en de kluisjes in de Aqua Mundo kunt openen. Je hebt geen sleutel meer nodig, je hoeft alleen je armband tegen het slot aan te houden en de deur gaat open. En geen paniek, de armbanden zijn tegen de golven van de Aqua Mundo bestand.

All the elf’s get to look after the reindeer, making sure they are well fed and cosy in their pens

What does it take to be a great elf?

It is so magical that I get to work with Santa, it can be very busy at the time, but it is just as rewarding to know that I am helping make Christmas a success every year

Center Parcs onderzoekt kerstbeleving

Center Parcs heeft een groot onderzoek uitgevoerd naar de manier waarop we in Nederland, Duitsland en België de Kerst doorbrengen. De gegevens worden vergeleken met een kerstonderzoek dat 10 jaar geleden werd uitgevoerd over dit zelfde onderwerp.

Ten opzichte van tien jaar geleden onderhouden we onze vriendschappen ruim 3 keer zo vaak op social media. Kerst vieren we nog exact hetzelfde. We houden samen de traditie in ere en brengen de kerstdagen het liefst door in het goede gezelschap van familie en vrienden. Dat geldt niet alleen voor 64 procent van de Nederlanders, maar ook voor 6 op de 10 inwoners van onze buurlanden, België en Duitsland. Dit resultaat is opvallend aangezien ook uit het onderzoek blijkt dat 41% van de mensen tegenwoordig vanwege tijdsgebrek steeds meer moeite heeft om de relatie met familie en vrienden te onderhouden. In 2008 was dit nog maar 34%. Ondanks dat we het druk hebben, maken we tijdens de Kerst wél tijd voor elkaar vrij om echt even samen te zijn.

Nieuw: invloed van social media

Mede door de opkomst van digitalisering en nieuwe technologieën besteden mensen hun tijd nu anders dan tien jaar geleden. Nederlanders geven aan dat zij hun vriendschappen tegenwoordig voor 34% via social media onderhouden, in 2008 was dat nog maar 11%. De kersttraditie om de feestdagen met familie en vrienden door te brengen staat desondanks nog steeds als een huis.

Santa Claus is leaving the forest for another year

The big day is only a few weeks away, so Santa Claus and his elves are leaving the forest to get prepared for the exciting big day.

A Winter Wonderland break at Center Parcs is not complete without a trip to Santa’s Woodland Workshop to visit the man himself and his little elf helpers.

At the end of the day on the 24 December 2018, Santa Claus is sadly closing his doors to the magically Woodland Workshop to get ready for his big parade. If you are here on Christmas Eve bring your little ones to bid to him farewell during our Santa parade.

Groupe Pierre et Vancances - Center Parcs Results for the 2017/2018 Financial Year

Financing operations

In order to refinance the ORNANE2 bonds issued in 2014, partly redeemed early during the second half of 2017, on 6 December 2017, the Group issued 1,648,261 ORNANE bonds for a total amount of €100 million, at a rate of 2.0% (vs. 3.5% for the previous issue), and maturing on 1 April 2023.

In addition, on 14 February 2018, the Group undertook another non-listed Euro private placement of €76 million, carrying interest of 3.9% (vs. 4.25% for the previous Euro PP) and redeemable on 14 February 2025, with French institutional investors.

These new financing operations optimise the Group's financial structure (especially by extending the average maturity of debt), and provide it the financial means to step up its development.

On 22 December 2017, the Sunparks Domain at Vielsalm re-opened under the Center Parcs banner after an investment of almost €35 million, financed by institutional and individual investors under the framework of a property renovation operation. These investments relate to the renovation of 350 cottages and the central facilities of the Domain.

Société d'Investissement Touristique et Immobilier (S.I.T.I)1, PV-CP China Holding BV (a 100%-owned subsidiary of the Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs Group) and HNA Tourism Group (HNA) have today signed an agreement that plans for the irrevocable disposal of:

1. The entire stake owned by HNA in Pierre et Vacances SA, to S.I.T.I, namely 980,172 ordinary shares representing 10.00% of the share capital and 13.50% of the Company's net voting rights2.
   
   The disposal price amounts to €15.93 per share.
   
   Following this operation (which is set to take place within a maximum of 20 trading days of the signing of the agreement), the stake owned by S.I.T.I in the Company will rise from 39.81% of the capital and 53.78% of voting rights2 to 49.81% of the capital and 64.91% of voting rights3.
   
   Confident in the outlook for growth and profitability at the Pierre & Vacances - Center Parcs Group, S.I.T.I is hereby strengthening its control of Pierre et Vacances SA.
2. The 60% interest held by HNA in the joint venture HNA PV Tourism Company Limited4 to PV-CP China Holding BV.

Negotiations are well underway with a new partner to invest in the capital of this company in order to strengthen the expansion of the Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs Group in China, on the basis of partnership agreements set up with local property developers.

This disposal agreement brings to an end the capital and commercial ties between HNA Tourism and Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs due to the financial restructuring underway at the HNA Group. It paves the way for partnerships with top-ranking Chinese financial and professional groups.

Fusie Hiswa en Recron bezegelt op de Eemhof

In 2019 gaan RECRON, brancheorganisatie voor recreatieondernemers en HISWA Vereniging, ondernemersorganisatie voor jachtbouw en watersport, voorbereidingen treffen voor een fusie. Tijdens zowel de Algemene Ledenvergadering van RECRON als die van HISWA gingen de handen op elkaar voor een fusie. De nieuwe organisatie HISWA-RECRON wordt per 1 januari 2020 opgericht. 

Beide Algemene Ledenvergaderingen vonden   tegelijkertijd plaats bij Center Parcs De Eemhof in Zeewolde. Het voorgenomen fusiebesluit werd apart voorgelegd aan de leden. Alle aanwezigen stemden positief waarmee groen licht is gegeven om te werken aan de nieuwe vereniging HISWA-RECRON in 2020. Het jaar 2019 wordt gebruikt om alle voorbereidingen te treffen die nodig zijn voor de fusie. Geert Dijks, nu nog directeur van HISWA Vereniging, wordt straks directeur van de nieuwe vereniging HISWA-RECRON. Hij verheugt zich op de nieuwe periode en de kansen die de fusie met zich meebrengt: "Samen maken we ons sterker voor de toekomst. RECRON en HISWA hebben veel gemeenschappelijk en vullen elkaar op onderdelen goed aan. Beide merken staan goed bekend: RECRON vooral bij de overheid en HISWA vooral bij consumenten. RECRON heeft een groot ledenvolume en is sterk in lobby. HISWA heeft veel expertise op het gebied van marketing, promotie, productontwikkeling en waterbeleid. Twee miljoen euro voor vitale vakantieparken

Minister Ollongren van Binnenlandse Zaken steekt 1,1 miljoen euro in de actie-agenda Vakantieparken 2018-2020 en nog eens 400 duizend euro voor Gelderland en 450 duizend voor Brabant waar al concrete plannen liggen. Met dit bedrag geeft de minister de provincies een impuls om de problematiek aan te pakken. Dit staat in de actie-agenda die vandaag is gepresenteerd en ondertekend tijdens de Vakantieparken Top op het voormalige zenderpark Radio Kootwijk op de Veluwe. Namens de branche tekende RECRON. Met de agenda gaan Rijk, gemeenten, provincies, de RECRON en maatschappelijke organisaties samen actief de kansen oppakken die de vakantieparken bieden. En voorkomen dat vakantieparken afglijden. Voor parken waar dit al gebeurt, moet een perspectief voor de toekomst komen. Met aandacht voor de mensen die er wonen en de betrokken ondernemers

Recipe: Festive Cookies

You can leave the cookies plain but they look so pretty iced with plain white icing and dotted with a few silver balls. It’s quite enjoyable piping snowflakey patterns on each one, you could add names too, maybe make one for Santa and Rudolph.

Make holes in the cookies with a skewer if you plan to hang them from a garland or on your Christmas tree. Or if you’re feeling extra festive, make a double batch of cookies and make them into a tree!

You can bake half a batch at a time, saving some dough in an airtight container for a couple of days in the fridge. They make a lovely gift, all wrapped up with a bow if you are visiting friends and family.

Ingredients

110g Butter
110g Soft brown sugar
8 Tbsp Runny Honey
1 Egg
450g Plain Flour
1tsp Baking Powder
2 tsp Ground Ginger
2 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Mixed Spice
2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder

For the icing
150 g Icing Sugar
1 tablespoon Water
Optional silver/coloured balls

Method 

1 Pre-heat the oven to 180ªC and lightly grease 4 baking trays with butter (or just bake half a batch at a time)
2 Melt the butter with the soft brown sugar and runny honey in a small pan. When the butter has melted allow the mixture to cool a little
3 Sift the rest of the dry ingredients together into a large bowl and stir
4 Add the egg and mix again
5 Pour the melted butter mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until the dough comes together
6 Tip the mixture out onto a board and knead it into a ball of dough, add water if it is too dry
7 You can refrigerate some dough at this point if you want to make some of the cookies at a later date
8 Sprinkle the worktop with a little flour and roll out the dough, slightly thicker than a pound coin
9 Cut out shapes using cookie cutters, making holes with a skewer if you plan to hang your cookies, then place them on the greased trays
10 Bake for 7-8 minutes until they are just starting to brown at the edges
11 Allow them to cool on the tray for 2 minutes then lift onto a cooling rack with a spatula

Method for icing 

1 Make the icing by stirring the water into the sifted icing sugar to make a thick paste.
2 Use a piping bag fitted with the smallest nozzle to pipe snowflake and star shapes onto the cooled cookies.

The cookies are crisp to start with but when stored in a tin they soften a little. They will keep for a couple of weeks, or you can hang them on your tree for the rest of the festive season!
