Center Parcs launched its first Charity Partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity in May 2010 and have raised £144, 272.16 in the first year. To mark this amazing milestone the team at Center Parcs and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity hosted a sponsored duck race down the Wild Water Rapids within the Subtropical Swimming Paradise at Elveden Forest.
Center Parcs guests sponsored rubber ducks for £2 each, with the winner the King family from Dartford getting a free break at Center Parcs.
The race, was started by actress Angela Griffin (Coronation Street, Cutting it, Hustle and Holby City) along with four of Great Ormond Street Hospital’s patients, Safiyah Khan,17, Bradford, Chloe Doble, 12, Warminster, Emily Gentry, 16, Ipswich and Louis Wilkins, 6, London.
