Ballymahon community celebrates after Longford Forest planning approval

It was a day of celebration and exciting plans last week as the community of Ballymahon came together to welcome Center Parcs CEO, Martin Dalby.

In the first visit since planning approval was granted, Martin paid a visit to the site that will soon become our sixth Village, and our first in Ireland.

A legion of community representatives, residents, councillors, senators and local businesses attended a special community reception in Ballymahon to officially welcome Center Parcs to County Longford. By Martin’s side was Mary Mitchell-O’Connor, T.D., Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, beaming with anticipation at hearing the next steps in the journey to bring Center Parcs Longford Forest to life.

Unveiling the Village map and mock-up sign, Martin Dalby says: “As we enter this next phase, we are one step closer to the economic transformation of the midlands and sharing the Center Parcs experience with families throughout Ireland. Our commitments to the local community and our neighbours here in Ballymahon will remain at the core of the project through our new Center Parcs Community Forum.”
