The indoor water park at family favourite Center Parcs is undergoing a £15m face lift.
Work at the Sherwood Forest site, which is about an hour and 45 minutes away from Hull, will create a children's adventure cove, toddler pools and a family raft ride with 125m of twists, turns and gravity-defying drops.
The transformation of the Subtropical Swimming Paradise is expected to be completed by summer 2019 but the resort will remain open throughout.
CEO Martin Dalby told the Nottingham Post : "It's a very important area. If you were to ask anyone what is the real iconic facility at a Center Parcs holiday park, then the Subtropical Swimming Paradise would be top of the list.
"Some families go and spend all day in there and these are the biggest indoor water parks in the UK.
"We're giving the whole swimming pool a big facelift, as well as adding some new rides.
"Our guests will be able to enjoy some of the best rides around in our family area."

Sherwood Forest will become one of the final villages in the brand to benefit from an updated indoor water park.
