The government has yet to confirm whether people will be able to go on summer holidays in 2021
Holiday parks across the UK are still facing an uncertain 2021, with major companies still unsure of when they will be able to welcome back guests.
There remains a great deal of uncertainty over when the English lockdown will be lifted and to what extent measures will be scaled back as we approach the summer holidays.
The question has been asked of the government in recent days whether we will be able to have proper summer holidays this year amid the continuing vaccine rollout and concerns over variants of the virus spreading in different areas of the country.
A number of resort chains have sites in the West Country, with Butlins and Pontin's being two that have parks in Somerset.
The Butlins resort in Minehead, the Pontin's site at Brean Sands and the Center Parcs village in the Longleat Forest, just over the border in Wiltshire, have all been closed through late 2020 and all of 2021 so far as a result of varying national lockdown conditions.
With the government saying it is not yet sure whether proper summer holidays will be possible and people holding off making plans as a result, popular holiday destinations have been updating customers on when they might be able to host guests again.
