How, where, when are all questions you need to ask yourself when planning the perfect proposal. Over the years, we’ve had a range of wonderful proposals at Center Parcs so we’ve used your proposals to create these top five tips.
Plan your day
Whether it’s day or night, a proposal calls for extended celebrations so it’s vital you plan your day. Paul proposed to partner Claire on the first day of their break at Sherwood Forest. On arrival, their Lodge had been decorated ready for Paul to ask the question. Of course the answer was yes, and Paul was able to ditch the nerves and enjoy a weekend as a newly engaged couple.
A location perfect for you
Whether it’s during a moonlit stroll on the beach or in your favourite Center Parcs restaurant, there are plenty of perfect places to propose, you just have to pick the one that’s right for you. Mark chose to propose to partner Ciara on the beach at Elveden Forest. With candles and champagne, and their little boy Danny joining in the celebrations, their evening was made extra special.
Make it memorable
In years to come, you’ll get asked about how you or your partner proposed, so it’s important you make it a story to remember and one you’ll want to share. Sam recently went for an out-of-the-box idea and proposed to his girlfriend Laura during Aerial Adventure at Sherwood Forest. First down the Zip Wire, he organised the proposal perfectly so that Laura could see the words ‘Laura will you marry me?’ as she came down. This was a first for our Action Challenge team and certainly one that everyone involved will remember!
Catch it on camera
To remember such a special day, catching it on camera is the best way to treasure the moment you popped the question. Whether you capture the moment in action like Sam or capture the celebrations during the rest of your break, your special day will be one you want to remember forever.
