We look at Center Parcs, Pontins, Butlins and Parkdean to compare prices - and see where you can get a bargain too
We looked at some of our favourite places to go around the UK with the kids and found the prices rose significantly from February 17 to 26 compared to the weeks either side.
There are, however, some deals to be had, such as with Parkdean Resorts which actually has some holiday parks offering cheaper breaks over half term than during term time.
These are the prices we found online on January 30.
Center Parcs
It’s the place most families want to take their kids because there are so many activities on offer.
However, we found that a two bedroom Woodland Lodge at Sherwood Forest cost more than double during half term compared to the following week.
A four night break for a family of four starting on February 20 cost around £699 whereas four nights in the same lodge costs just £329 the following Monday.
And a week in two bedroom executive lodge at Elveden Forest, Suffolk costs around £1,338 if you go on Friday February 17.
However, if you go for a week starting Friday February 24, the price drops to £988 for the same accommodation.
