How to be a superhero at Center Parcs

At home you’re just mum and dad. Always there to scoop up clothes off the bedroom floor, to cook tea, to pick the little darlings up and drop them off again. It’s what you do, it’s part of the routine. But sometimes it’s good to step outside of the day-to-day; sometimes it’s nice to show your children that there’s more to you than meets the eye. After all, before you were mum and dad, you were you.

A break at Center Parcs can show them that behind every ‘cleaner’, ‘limo driver’, and ‘cook’ there’s a daredevil just waiting to get out. It’s time to swap the school run for something a little more adrenaline fuelled – it’s time to release the superhero within.

Flying through the air (no cape required)

The Drop
Available at: Elveden Forest. Coming to Woburn Forest this autumn.

A 15-metre tall tower with a very simple premise – get to the bottom as fast as you can. There’s only one way to get up, but lots of ways to get down. You can zoom across the clearing on the Double Drop Zip Wire, freefall off the Quick Jump, make a Leap of Faith for the hanging punch bag, or, for the ultimate rush, do the Air Bag Jump without a harness or rope. Show them you’re not afraid to leap off the equivalent of a three-story building in a single bound. Book now

Aerial Adventure
Available at: All villages

Center Parcs is no place to keep your feet on the ground and this iconic outdoor activity will have you inspecting the forest canopy more closely in no time. Show them how it’s done on a combination of ropes, bridges and zip wires – but you’ll need nerves of steel as you step off for the final zip wire over the lake. Book now

Up, up and away

Tropical Cyclone
Available at: Elveden Forest, Woburn Forest, Longleat Forest

There’s no better way to release your inner child than flying at speeds of up to 45km per hour down a really massive water slide. An eye-opening 142 metres of twists, turns and gravity defying drops await those brave enough to take the plunge. The children will love it – but dare you follow? If you really want to show what you’re made of, take a dip in the ice-cold plunge pool. Question is, how long can you stay in there? Book now

To infinity, and beyond!

Indoor Climbing Adventure
Available at: All villages

It’s time to go vertical, but will you be able to keep up? This isn’t like any climbing wall you’ve seen. Depending on which village you visit, you could be conquering a chess board, scaling snakes and ladders or ascending in outer space. Have a go on our transparent racing wall and strap in against whoever in the family’s up for the challenge. When you get to the top? Well there’s only one place to go… Book now

Faster than lightening (almost)

Quad Bike Safari
Available at: Whinfell Forest, Sherwood Forest, Elveden Forest, Longleat Forest

Give it some throttle, and after a little instruction you’ll be flying around a track that’s a challenging mix of hilly off-road terrain to climb and descend, with some hairpin bends thrown in for good measure. Watch out for the banking section, it makes the ride a little more awkward – and a lot more exciting. Book now

Even superheroes need to let their hair down (as long as they’re aged 7 and under)

Hero’s Party Hour
Available at: All villages

When it’s time for the big heroes to put their feet up and have a well-earned rest, the little ones will probably still be going strong. So, drop them off at Activity Den for our Hero’s Party Hour where, dressed as their favourite superhero, they can dance, sing, make new friends and join in the fun. It’ll give you time to sit back and reflect on a heroic day of adventures. Book now

Transform into their hero by booking a Center Parcs short break now.
