Luxury Accommodation
We are excited to announce that four unique Treehouses are now available to book at Whinfell Forest; one of the Treehouses is adapted for our guests with limited mobility. They are all equipped with the highest specifications, premium furniture and dedicated hosts, providing our guests with a luxurious and hassle-free experience.
Key features include a physiotherm infrared room with Aqua Sana towels, private outdoor hot tub, separate games den, four bedrooms with en-suites, LPG BBQ, iPad controlled entertainment system, dedicated parking and robes and slippers – even the little ones get their own!
Dedicated Treehouse Hosts
To make our guests’ break extra special, each Treehouse will have a dedicated host. Our friendly hosts contact the guests prior to their arrival to introduce themselves and check they have pre-booked activities and restaurants. When the Treehouse guests arrive on village, they will check-in at our arrival pods, rather than driving through the main arrivals. They are then able to drive straight to their Treehouse where the host will meet them and offer them a tour of what will be their home for a few days.
We spoke to Sheryl Strickland and Siobhan Green, the two lovely hosts at Whinfell Forest, about their new role.
“As part of our role as a Treehouse Host, we carry out checks prior to guest arrival, making sure everything is cleaned to the highest standard, nothing is damaged, iPads and robes are in place and we place in the complimentary gifts.”
Sheryl Strickland explained what she enjoys most about being a treehouse host.
“I am a people person and enjoy being around guests. It’s a really nice feeling welcoming them when they are excited about their break. Having that initial conversation with them before they arrive creates that connection and it’s lovely getting to know the family.
Being able to make their break extra special with little touches is what makes this job so special”
From a building site to four spectacular Treehouses
Matt Lyons, Accommodation Project Manager at Whinfell Forest, lead the Treehouse project from start to finish. He gives us a little insight into what work went into creating the masterpieces.
“We began the Treehouse project at the end of 2018, which started with rehoming badgers away from the site we wished to build, and by March the site area took shape.
It took a further 17 months to complete the build, which during that time we experienced every season and the very best of Cumbrian weather. We were hit with a number of big challenges working on untouched forest and into the side of a valley but, that said, the contractors and team all did a wonderful job. Highlights for me were the attention to detail and the science behind the steel and concrete works. It was amazing to see and to be a part of the changes being made on a daily basis, from a building site to the Treehouses becoming part of Center Parcs.”
Share special moments together and enjoy the peace and tranquillity in our unique Treehouses. Book your stay here.
