We like to keep things fresh here at Center Parcs, so twice a year we launch a range of special seasonal dishes in our restaurants. This spring and summer, it’s all about zingy flavours, great-tasting dishes and refreshing drinks that you can enjoy in the sunshine. Did you know that most of our restaurants have an outdoor terrace where you can dine al fresco and soak up some rays?
There are different limited edition dishes coming to each of our restaurants. You’ll find them on a menu at your table. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peak of a few of our favourites…
Strawberries and Cream Pancake Stack
Nothing says summer quite like sweet, in-season strawberries and fresh whipped cream. Throw in the smell of just-mowed grass and we could think we really were court-side. So pop down to The Pancake House over the next few months to try this plate (pictured above) of four fluffy, American pancakes, sandwiched with real sliced strawberries, topped with thick whipped cream and drizzled with a sweet strawberry syrup.
Summer cocktails and drinks
Feeling parched? A busy day of activities will do that to you. Cool down and quench your thirst with one of our specially designed drinks for spring and summer (pictured left). The Elderflower Collins is a floral cocktail that hits the perfect balance of sweet and sour, made with gin and eldeflower cordial, topped with ice and a slice.
For something soft, try the non-alcoholic ginger beer in Huck’s American Bar and Grill, served extra frosty.
Pork Emmental Burger
Burger fans won’t want to miss out on this one – a tender pork patty on a toasted bun, topped with creamy, melting emmental cheese and crispy battered onions. Of course, it comes with our famous Huck’s fries and ‘slaw for an authentic American eating experience.
Roasted Red Onion and Gruyere Tartlet
This is the perfect pick-me-up lunch to squeeze in between a game of outdoor tennis and a ride down the Rapids. Find it at Sports Cafe, and enjoy a light, buttery pastry crust, with sweet roasted red onions and the rich tang of gruyere. Served warm and melting, with a side salad.
…And that’s not it! Later on this summer we’ll be launching another selection of specials for the summer of sport, all themed around some of the biggest sporting events taking place this year. Keep your eyes on our emails and here on Under the Treetops to get the first glimpses.
