As the festive season draws closer, it’s almost time for you to start hearing ‘sleigh bells ringing…’ on the radio and eating your daily dose of advent calendar chocolate. As exciting as that sounds, we are even more excited to transform our forests to a magical winter playground for the 9 November.
So, whether you are planning a Winter Wonderland break for your family and want to know what to expect, or already got a break pencilled in the diary and need some inspiration to fill your days. Take a look at what you can do during Winter Wonderland in 2020.
Immerse yourself in the festive Wonderland
Once again, our villages will be transformed with twinkly lights, snow, and festive decorations. Our Festive Fayre is back for all of your hot chocolate and festive treat needs, so you can warm up, refuel and take in the magical atmosphere.
Head to our Christmas shop for a browse on all things festive. Pick up any knick-knacks or stocking fillers for your friends and family and start ticking names off your Christmas list.
If you want to create a Christmas in your home away from home, get a real Christmas tree delivered to your lodge. Equipped with a selection of lights and a decoration pack, you can transform your accommodation into a Christmas grotto for during your stay.
Say hello to Santa
Meeting Santa Claus and his Elves is a rite of passage for your little ones (and even some grown-ups) during the festive season. With the big man himself stopping off at Center Parcs during Winter Wonderland, pre-book a slot to pop into Santa’s Workshop and say hello. Let your little ones tell Santa what’s on their Christmas wish-list, receive a special gift, and pose for a family photograph. Please note each session is for a maximum of four guests and must include one adult, to help us enable social distancing.
Watch the light and sound experience
New for 2020 is our Enchanted Light Trail and Laser Garden experience. At no extra cost, discover our two immersive light and sound experiences that will play throughout the evening (Laser Garden is only available at Elveden Forest and Woburn Forest). Nestled between the trees, follow a pathway through each experience and watch the magic unfold before your eyes. This new element replaces our fireworks and pyrotechnics displays which are unable to take place due to social distancing.
Try the festive activities
There are plenty of festive activities for you and your family to try during your break. Get in the Christmas spirit with Festive Wreath Making, for a tranquil, relaxing activity learn how to weave delicate willow into a festive decoration which you can proudly hang in your home. Or treat your little ones to a Festive Pony Ride, where they can enjoy a walk through the magical forest. To ensure you don’t miss out on any activities you want to try, make sure to pre-book your them online four weeks before your break.
Warm-up in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise
Make a splash in the balmy 29.5C Subtropical Swimming Paradise. Pre-book your slots (two-night breaks get one swimming slot only), to relax and unwind in our Hot Whirlpools, get your blood pumping on our gravity-defying Tropical Cyclone ride or splash about with your little ones in our water play areas.
Enjoy festive flavours
One of the bests parts of the festive period is being able to indulge in delicious food, but what’s even better is not having to cook! At Center Parcs, there’s no need to worry about the cooking and cleaning, just simply pre-book your family table at one of our restaurants from four weeks before your arrival and tuck into some mouth-watering meals, hassle-free.
It’s not too late to book a last-minute, magical Winter Wonderland break for you and your family
If you are coming to stay, we want to hear all about your break, so whichever village you’re at, share your photos and videos with us, tagging @CenterParcsUK and using the hashtag #mycp.
