November: this month we love

If you have something great to say that you want to share, send it to your.story@centerparcs.co.uk and you could be featured here.

1. The ultimate kitchen garden

Aaron grows vegetables at Great Dixter, a country estate in East Sussex. His blog is a treasure trove of hints and tips you can use to grow your own gardening prowess and how to transition your champion crops to the kitchen table. As a bonus, there are photos of his wonderful dogs too.

“In the winter months all we think about while out in the cold is the summer, so in the summer months we should also think about winter and making jam is doing that. Our fruit cage is full of great fruit that needs to be used and so I have started the making of jam for the winter. So far I have made red currant jelly and black currant jam. It is a great thing to see at the end of the day, jars ready for the jam cupboard.”

Take a look at Dexter Vegetable Garden. Did we mention the dogs?

2. See Center Parcs through a toddler’s eyes

Here’s your chance to see Woburn Forest from a new perspective. This video from Mumii shows exactly why Center Parcs is perfect for toddlers, with a sweet and enlightening video that puts you in the (very small and adorable) shoes of a two-year-old.

3. Remember and Repeat

Have you played our new memory and concentration game yet? It’s infuriating, exasperating and completely addictive. Ignore the pesky notifications and pay attention to the pattern – one slip-up and it’s back to the beginning. Don’t’ forget to log your score at the end to be in with a chance of winning a £1,000 Center Parcs break.

Play the quiz.

4. Perfect for babies

The Doncaster Free Press a great piece this month about what it’s like on a Center Parcs break with a baby. Guests often ask us if there’s plenty to do for the littlest members of their family, or if our Villages are fully baby-friendly. The answer is a resounding yes.

But don’t just have to take our word for it, see what Chris Burton of the Doncaster Free Press thought.

5. How to write a great travel review

Have a Center Parcs break booked soon and fancy joining the ranks of our loved bloggers? This post from Sally at Whosthemummy will tell you everything you need to know about writing the perfect travel review.

“We’ve made pizza in Florence and fed giraffes in Wales. We parasailed over the Indian Ocean in Mauritius and paddled sailboats in Cape Cod. Over the years we’ve picked up a few tips about what makes for a successful travel review post – the sort of post that’s still generating hits and shares several years after being published.”

Sharpen your pencils and take notes with Sally’s guide.

6. Super stylish family living

Courtney Adamo is a mother of four and takes the most beautiful snaps of the little moments that make up family life, from snack time to adventure time.
